LAWTON, Iowa — Thomas F. Grigg, 83, of Lawton died Thursday in Sioux City.

Services will he at 10 a.m. Wednesday a Community Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. E.D. Pappadackis officiating. Burial will be in Banner Township Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., at Christy-Smith¬McCulloch Chapel in Moville.

Mr. Grigg was born June 6, 1916, in Floyd Township, Iowa, the son of Albert and Rose (Plumer) Grigg. He graduated from Lawton High School and continued his education at Westmar College in Le Mars, Iowa, and at Iowa State University.

He married Georgina Davidson on Sept. 8, 1943, at Lawton. They farmed at Lawton.

He served the U.S. Air Force from 1942 ton 1945. He flew a B-17 and a B-29 durina World War II.

He belonged to Community Presbyterian Church in Lawton where he served as an Elder; the American Legion and on the School Boards of Lawton and Lawton-Bronson.

Survivors include his wife of Lawton; two sons and their wives, Albert and Connie of Everly, Iowa and Curt and Bonnie of Lawton; two daughters and their husbands, Nancy ands Jim Howard of Lincoln and Marjean and Denny Jones of Aucklund; a sister, Esther Boyce of Dallas; and eight grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by an infant sister.
