LAWTON, Iowa -Sandra L. Roethler, 51, of Lawton died Friday, Feb. 23, 2001, in Omaha.

Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Morningside Bible Church with the Rev. Ronald Bachelor officiating. Burial will be in Banner Township Cemetery in Lawton. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., and a prayer service at 7 p.m., at Christy-Smith Morningside Chapel in Sioux City.

Mrs. Roethler was born Jan. 20, 1950, in Sioux City, the daughter of Darrell and Betty (Weber) Ritchie. She was a Woodbury County resident her entire life. She was raised near Hornick, Hinton and Sioux City. She graduated from Hinton High School and continued her education at Grace Bible College in Omaha.

She married Marvin Roethler on March 15, 1974, in Elk Point, S.D. She moved to Lawton in the early 1990s.

She worked for Joe Morton Insurance (now Great West Casualty) as a title clerk for more than 30 years. She was a member of Morningside Bible Church and enjoyed working with the Church Bus Ministry and Children's Ministry.

She enjoyed gardening and flowers.

Survivors include her husband; her parents of Sioux City; a daughter and her husband, Melissa and Nathan Walker of Brandon, S.D.; a son, Kurt Roethler of Lawton; a stepson, Jon Roethler of Omaha; two sisters and their husbands, Diana and Clarence Winkler of Sioux City, and Marilyn and Douglas Mosier of Denver; two brothers, Douglas and his wife, Kathleen Ritchie of Omaha, and David Ritchie of Lawton; her maternal grandparents, Oliver and Cora Weber of Sioux City; two grandsons, Tate and Caleb Walker; and a stepgrandson, Douglas Roethler.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Omer and Lura Ritchie.
