Hornick, Iowa—Mary B. Woods, 100, of Hornick, died Sunday, February 25, 1996, at Maple Heights Nursing Home in Mapleton.

Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Armstrong Funeral Homem in Mapleton with the Rev. Mark Smeltzer officiating. Burial will be in Willow Township Cemetery, Holly Springs. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Mrs. Woods was born March 7, 1895, in Holly Springs, the daughter of Martin and Christina (Sattel) Becker, and lived her entire life in the Holly Springs area.

She married Ralph Woods in March 1916 in Sioux City. He died in 1964.

In 1980 she entered the nursing home.

Mrs. Woods was a member of the church of Christ in Holly Springs, Hornick, Hornick Ladies Aid and Women’s Club and was a 50-year member of Order of Eastern Star, Athena Chapter of Sloan.

Survivors include a daughter and her husband, Ardis and Jim Cord of Sioux City; a son, Warren of Bloomington, Ill., three grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Roy and Frank and two sisters, Elizabeth and Barbara.
