Lee Elbert Sharp, son of Elbert B. and Ruth Ellen Sharp, was born at Lebanon, Kan., January 4, 1890 and died at Lawton, Iowa, March 18, 1930, aged 40 years, 2 months, 14 days. After the death of his mother, he was adopted by C.H. Hooghkirk and Rosa A. Houghkirk on September 10, 1892. He was a member of the Presbyterian church and of the Odd Fellows.

Mr. Sharp is survived by a sister, Mrs. Willie Jamison, of Quinter, Kan.; six half brothers, Earl, Arthur, Joseph, Chester, Winford and Clifford Sharp, all of Mountain View, Mo.; his foster mother, Mrs. Rosa Hooghkirk, of Lawton, Iowa, and his stepmother, Mrs. Cora Sharp.

Funeral services were held in the Community church at Lawton Thursday afternoon, Rev. A. Conde officiating. Burial was made in the Lawton cemetary. The pallbearers were Harry Rasmussen, Art Johnson, Joe Haskins, Harry Walter, Clifford Brainerd and M.L. Maupin.
