James R. "Jim" Duff

January 14, 1939 - November 2, 2024

James R. "Jim" Duff, 85 of Sioux City, passed away Saturday, November 2, 2024. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, November 8, 2024, at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, with a reception following at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel. Jim was born the son of James and Marie (Mortenson) Duff on January 14, 1939, in Sioux City, Iowa. He married Patricia Lenz on November 29, 1957. They enjoyed 66 wonderful years together.

Jim owned and operated the second-generation family business, Duff's Printing down on 27th street for many years. He also worked at Swift and Company and Cloverleaf until his retirement.

Jim will be remembered by his family as a hardworking provider. He was a salesman at heart and he knew someone everywhere he went. He enjoyed traveling, particularly the yearly trip to Okoboji and trips to Florida.

Jim is survived by his wife, Patricia Duff of Sioux City, Iowa; daughters, Cindy Russell (John), of Ames, Iowa, Lori McCuddin, of Sioux City, Iowa, Kris Weigel, of Sioux City, Iowa, and Shelly Duff (Chris), of Sacramento, Calif.; sister, Bernice Sperling; grandchildren, Garrett Russell (Karla), Dillon McCuddin, Elliott Russell (Libby), Skyler Weigel, Zoey Weigel (Chase), and Sam Weisgram; and great-granddaughter, Maevis Huber.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Dick and Catherine.
