Jens Pedersen, 74 years, 3 months, 20 days of age, passed away at Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, Washington with his family by his side.
Jens was born February 3, 1950 in Sioux City, Iowa, to Jens A, Pedersen and Peggy (Matney) Pedersen.
As a Christian, Jens grew up on a farm in Moville, Iowa and graduated from Woodbury Central High School where he accelerated in basketball, football, and track. Later attending and running track for Miltonvale Wesleyan college Miltonvale, Kansas.
Jens worked many years owning his own business such as multiple restaurants in Montana, Missouri, and Washington. and a bbq sauce company in Spokane, Washington, along with being a top rated sought after salesman with a passion for food and customer service.
He enjoyed farming as a young man, and later gardening, cooking, raising chickens, quail, meeting people, and driving fast. He had a love of cars, tractors, the Iowa Hawkeye's, and Gonzaga basketball and of course his grandkids. He was an excellent cook and loved to cook for people, a trait he probably received from his mother. He also enjoyed music and sometimes you could even catch him singing with such a great voice. He also had a best pal named "Dutchy" a lovable little chihuahua.
He was preceded in death by his parents Jens A. Pedersen and Peggy (Matney) Pedersen, Brother Jan and Robbie Pedersen, son Christopher Pedersen, grandson Seth Evans.
Jens is survived by his brother and sister-in law Rick and Shelly Pedersen, sister and brother-in law Tami and Dave Sevier, sister Amy Waitman, sister-in law Sulaine Pedersen, mother of his children Deborah Pedersen, his children and there spouses; Jens and Krissy Pedersen, Jeremy and Sherry Pedersen, grandchildren; Jordan, Bridget, Trussy, Leslie, Hailey, Karli, TegIn, Jens R. 6 great grandchildren and many other Family and friends.
Graveside services will be Saturday September 14th 2024 at Arlington Cemetery in Moville, Iowa at 3 p.m.
