David was known for his adventurous spirit and enjoyed many diverse hobbies, including golfing, water and snow skiing, hunting, motorcycle racing. He was an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan.
He was such a good friend to many and a great neighbor, always willing to help anyone. He really enjoyed attending the retired railroader luncheon with Margaret, held once a week at various restaurants. David lived every day with gusto, with positivity, and with joy.
