Sandra Kay Guthridge, 66, of Moville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, surrounded by her loving family at the Good Samaritan Society of Holstein.

A visitation will be held on Friday, September 6, 2024, at the Nicklas D. Jensen Funeral Home in Moville from 4 pm-6 pm with a prayer service at 6:00 pm. Family and friends are invited to gather and share memories of the remarkable woman Sandra was. The Nicklas D. Jensen Funeral Home of Moville is in charge of the arrangements. Born on August 25, 1958, Sandra was a beacon of kindness, strength, and compassion throughout her life.

Sandra was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Her warm smile and generous spirit touched everyone who knew her. She was known for her incredible heart and her love of family. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life—whether it was spending time with loved ones, enjoying the beauty of nature, or lending a helping hand to those in need.

Sandra is survived by her beloved husband, Larry Guthridge; her children, Don Guthridge (Paige Groth), Joe (Stephanie) Guthridge, Ivy (Andy) Bremer and Jade (Tyler) Manker. Her grandchildren, Karli Guthridge, Ella Guthridge, Isaac Guthridge, Cora Bremer, Lyla Guthridge, Emberlynn Guthridge, Finleigh Groth, Quinn Bremer, Jace Guthridge, Hazel Manker, Ozzie Guthridge, and Harrison Manker. Her mother, Norma Scheelhaase, brother, Kirk (Tam) Scheelhaase, and sister, LouAnn Scheelhaase. She leaves behind many cherished friends and extended family members who will miss her dearly.

She is preceded in death by her beloved father, Lyle Scheelhaase, and her cherished daughter, Laura Guthridge. Their memories remained close to her heart throughout her life, and now they are reunited.

Sandra’s life was a testament to her deep love and unwavering dedication to caring for children. As a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend, she poured her heart into nurturing the young lives around her. Her greatest joy came from the time she spent with her grandchildren, creating lasting memories filled with laughter, warmth, and love. In her memory, the family asks that in lieu of flowers, monetary donations be made to the family in support of the future Moville Community Daycare Center. Her legacy will continue to touch the lives of many, ensuring that her spirit of love and care lives on in the hearts of all who knew her. Sandra Kay Guthridge will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love, kindness, and strength will continue to inspire all who knew her.
