30 October 2024Linda Mae (Wilder) Fernandez, 70, of Sioux City, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at FMC Carswell in Fort Worth, Texas.
A memorial service will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, November 8, 2024, at the First Christian Church, with Pastor Clif Cockburn, officiating. A livestream of the service will be posted on the Goslar Funeral Home website with Linda’s obituary. Burial will follow in the Onawa Cemetery, Onawa, Iowa. A visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Arrangements are under the direction of Goslar Funeral Home and Monuments, Onawa, Iowa.
Linda Mae was born September 4, 1953, the daughter of James “Red” Wilder and Lillian (Gray) Orr, in Iowa City, Iowa. She attended school in Onawa, Iowa.
She enjoyed gardening, especially growing flowers of all kinds, exploring, walking, and going to thrift stores. Linda especially enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved going to church and reading the bible. Linda had a generous spirit and often wanted to help all.
Linda was diagnosed with malignant breast cancer in 2022.
Survivors include her children, Shawntel (Ed) Gustin of Onawa, Iowa, and Mike (Kim) Storm of Sioux City, Iowa; daughter-in-law, Brenda Beacom of Sioux City, Iowa; twelve grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; siblings, Connie Wilder, Betty Kellog, Vivian Wilder, David Wilder, and James “Jimmie” Wilder; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James “Red” Wilder and Lillian (Gray) Orr; stepfather, John Orr; son, David Beaudine Riley; two brothers, Ronnie Wilder, and Mike Wilder; sister, Eve Parr; two brothers-in-law, Jim Kellog, and Patrick French, Senior; nephew, Tim Wilder; and a special friend, Jeff Robbins.
