Aaron Detches

July 6, 1963 - June 19, 2024

Aaron Detches, age 60 of Greenwood, Indiana, formerly of Sioux City, passed away on June 19, 2024.

He was born on July 6, 1963 in Sioux City, IA to Arthur and Sandra (Breaman) Detches. He was a member of Emmanuel Church and enjoyed attending the Sunday services. Aaron also enjoyed seasonal Colts games, tailgating at the blue crew lot, Journey concerts, Carb day at the Speedway race track, Cubs games, and he loved to dance and sing. Aaron came from a big family and truly enjoyed family time. Aaron believed family always comes first! Aaron was employed by Covanta Energy for over 24 years. He had a love for his job and coworkers. When not at work Aaron loved spending time with his wife Debby going to get ice cream, walking the canal, and being outdoors.

Aaron is survived by his wife, Debra Detches; children, Danielle Detches (Anthony), Courtney Kiefer (Chris), Brandy McDonald-Calhoun (Brian), and Brandon McDonald (Kaitlin); ten grandkids, Brooke, Blaise, Briley, Braelynn, Khalia, Jaxon, Cassidy, Holden, Theo, and Everly; nine siblings, Dan (Jenny), Dorrie (Connie), Barb (Al), Jeanne (Tim), Quentin (Shelly), Paula (Jack), Sandy (Phong), and Robert (Duane). He was preceded in death by parents, Arthur and Sandra (Breaman) Detches; and brother, John Detches.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 24, 2024 from 5:00 pm until the time of service at 7:00 pm at G. H. Herrmann Funeral Home and Cremation Center at The Gardens of Olive Branch, 1605 S.
