Harold T. "Terry" McArthur, 84 of Sioux City, Iowa passed away on Friday, July 26, 2024 at the Holy Spirit Retirement Home. A Celebration of Life Service will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 3, 2024 at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel with Father Andrew Sohm officiating. Burial will be at a later date at Memorial Park Cemetery in Sioux City. Visitation, with the family present, will be on Friday, August 2, 2024 at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and the family requests casual attire be worn for both the service and the visitation, especially those that would like to wear Iowa State clothing. Terry was born on January 12, 1940 in Sioux City, Iowa to Harold and Charlotte (Dermit) McArthur. He graduated from East High School with the Class of 1959. Terry married Sandra "Sandy" Jean Spencer on November 18, 1961 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Sioux City.
Terry worked and was third generation owner/operator of McArthur Sheet Metal Works located in South Sioux City, Nebraska. He was a past member of the Abu Bekr Shrine, and past President of the Siouxland Woodworkers. Terry not only enjoyed woodworking but could fix anything. He enjoyed coaching senior little league, playing golf, restoring classic vehicles, but found his greatest joy in his grandkid's activities.
Terry is survived by his wife Sandy of Sioux City; daughter Tracey (Rick) McBride; sons David "Dave" (Susie) McArthur and Bill (Krista Hericks) McArthur; two brothers, Richard McArthur and Thomas (Phyllis) McArthur; seven grandchildren, Melissa (Brad) Burleigh, Lindsey (Keith) Hale, Drake (Quinn) McArthur, Kristin McArthur, Allix Daniels, Madison Stroman, and Kaelyn Hericks; and nine great-grandchildren.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents, and mother-in-law Vivian "Ma" Spencer.
