Leona L. Crawford, 89, of Sioux City died Wednesday, Nov. 13, 1996, at a Sioux City hospital following a short illness.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Third Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. E.D. Pappadackis officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 9. p.m. today, with the family 9 p.m. and a prayer service at 7:30 p.m., at the Nelson-Berger Morningside Funeral Home.

Mrs. Crawford was born Dec. 23, 1906, in Sioux City, the daughter of James and Sarah (Evans) Harrington. She graduated from Central High School. She was employed with the Gerkin Company for over 20 years, retiring as an office manager. She married Jacob Crawford on June 18, 1932, in South Sioux City. He died in 1977.

Mrs. Crawford was a member of the Third Presbyterian Church and a longtime member of the Girls of '68.

Survivors include one son and his wife, Jerry and Joan of Sloan, Iowa; one daughter and her husband, Jane and Donn Ryan of Westfield, Iowa; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
