12 October 1955Funeral services will be at 9:30 a. m. Thursday at St. Mary Catholic church at Danbury for Dan Keleher, 76, longtime Danbury resident who died Monday at his farm home near the Woodbury County community. Rev. R. V. Sweeney will officiate and the Fitzpatrick funeral home has charge of arrangements.

20 October 1955Funeral services were held Thursday morning, Oct. 13, in St. Mary's Catholic church in Danbury for Daniel M. Keleher, 77, prominent resident of the Danbury community for 72 years.
The services at the church were conducted by the pastor, the Rev. R. V. Sweeney. Music was by St. Mary's high school choir.
Mr. Keleher died of a heart attack on one of his farms near Danbury, where he had gone to inspect the condition of the crops.
Mr. Keleher was born at Neola, Iowa May 5, 1877. He came with his parents, the late Michael and Nancy Ann Keleher, to the Danbury community when he was five years old. His parents homesteaded a farm north of Danbury. He had been a continuous resident of that community since his arrival 72 years ago.
Mr. Keleher and Emma Frisbe were married January 28, 1903, in St. Patrick's church in Danbury. To this union were born two sons, Leo and Edward, both of Sioux City, and a daughter, Agnes. Mrs. Keleher died in 1931.
In March 1929 Mr. and Mrs. Keleher moved from the farm to town. He spent his time looking after his farms and property interests.
Burial was in St. Patrick's cemetery north of Danbury.
Pallbearers were William Weber, Alvin Kline, Archie Pry, Lester Bell, John Siebold and Clarence Slentz.
Survivors besides the two sons are a brother, Cornelius of St. Louis, Mo., now 92 years of age, who came for the funeral services; 18 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Keleher was an uncle of Mrs. Clarence Slentz of Mapleton. His parents, five sisters, three brothers and his daughter, Agnes, preceded him in death.

Keleher, Marlene and Daniel, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Keleher and children, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Keleher, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Keleher, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Myers, Mr. and Mrs. David Rogers, Mr. and Mrs. Brose Pullis and Robert Galvin, of Sioux City; Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Slentz, Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Cameron, Claude Cameron, Mr. and Mrs. Casper Myers, Michael Schoenherr and Clara, Mrs. Wilbur Reed and daughter and Frank O. Furey, of Mapleton; Cornelius Keleher, Mrs. Mary Frances Levandowski and Mrs. Nancy McFarland and daughter, of St. Louts; Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Keleher and Mr. and Mrs. Al Wonder of Correctionville.
