Kraft Leeius Kirkpatrick, 73, a lifelong resident of the Oto-Danbury communities, died Monday at a Battle Creek, Ia., hospital after a long illness.

Mr. Kirkpatrick was born April 18, 1888 in Woodbury County. He married Metta Hennings December 28, 1910 at Climbing Hill. He farmed until 1943 and was employed by the Barry Implement Co. of Danbury for nine years and by the Barry Motor Co. since 1954. He also had worked in the agriculture stabilization and conservation office in Sioux City.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. LeRoy Barry of Omaha and Mrs. Edwin Scott of Danbury; a son, Wilmer of Crown Point, Ind., two brothers, William of Smithland and Marvin of El Cerrito, Cal., 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 1 p. m. Thursday at the Methodist church in Danbury. Rev. Earl Kurtz will officiate. Burial will be in the Danbury cemetery under direction of the Walter funeral home of Mapleton, la.
