DANBURY, Iowa-- Mrs. Clifford "Nook" Kinney, 68, of Danbury, died Sunday in a Sioux City hospital after a long illness.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the United Methodist Church at Danbury. The Revs. Robert Pike and Walter Enstrom will officiate. Burial will be in the Danbury Cemetery. There will be a prayer service at 8 p.m. today in the Walter Funeral Home at Mapleton.
The former Minnie Moltmann, was born July 16, 1911, in rural Danbury and was a life-long area resident.
She was married Nov. 17, 1931, at Elk Point. She worked as a cook for 17 years at the public school at Danbury and had cooked at various restaurants at Danbury. Mr. Kinney died Jan. 15, 1976.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and the Senior Citizens of Battle Creek.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Jon (Laura) Scott of Danbury; one son, William of Danbury; five grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; her mother, Mrs. Laura Moltmann of Battle Creek and three brothers, Carl of Corvallis, Ore., Lester of Truth or Consequences, N.M., and Burdette of Hermiston, Ore.
