Alexander, Ark., formerly Hornick, Iowa

Kay F. Bertrand, the daughter of Lyle F. Baggs and Julia A. Baggs, died on Sunday, Sept. 4, 2022.

Please join us for a Celebration of Life held at 1 p.m. on Saturday at the Town Hall in Hornick. A luncheon will be served in her honor.

Kay was born on Feb. 12, 1951, in Sioux City.

In 1972, she married Terrence E. Bertrand, in Sergeant Bluff. They lived in Hornick and raised their children: Tracy and Tony.

Kay is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Tracy Bertrand (Jason Leaver); son, daughter-in-law, and two grandchildren, Tony Bertrand (Jamie Bertrand), and Kyler Bertrand and Ryder Bertrand; and stepchildren, Peggy Leggett, GerriAnn Pettit and Michelle Richardson-Tenuta.

She was preceded in death by her parents Lyle and Julia Baggs; siblings; Terrence Bertrand; and stepchildren Laurel (Laurie) Mesner, and Laurence (Mike) Bertrand.
