Iva J. Robins, 66, of Hot Springs passed away Saturday, Oct. 15, 2022, at her residence in Hot Springs.

Services will be held 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 12, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Hot Springs. Arrangements have been placed under the local care of Chamberlain McColley's Funeral Home in Hot Springs.

Iva was born Oct. 13, 1956, to Earl and Gladys (Fink) Peterson, in Sioux City. Iva was very privileged to grow up on a very successful dairy farm and loved the cows, horses, dogs and cats very much. You could not keep her away from any of them. As she grew older, the family moved to Sioux City but still farmed until Earl became ill and the family moved but continued farming.

Iva attended East High School, Colorado State and graduated from Morningside College with a major in Ag Marketing and a minor in Ag Economics. She took her first job with IBP in Dakota City as a sales assistant, in the variety meats department. She then went to quality control, variety meat scheduling, boxed beef and carcass scheduling and industrial engineering.

Iva is survived by her husband, Dale Robins of Hot Springs; children, Nolan McCarville of Greeley, Colo., and Jessie (Wes) Koons of Greeley; stepchildren, Alicia Stuart of Monument, Colo., Chelsea (Craig) Wilkinson of Colorado Springs, Colo., Megan (Britney Outz) Robins of Denver, Colo., and Kiri Robins of Aurora; brother, Sam (Mary Jo) Peterson of Houlton, Wis.; sisters, Jana (Fred) Coffman of Omaha, Neb., and Nora Peterson of Omaha; and five grandchildren.

Iva was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Roy.
