The community was very much grieved to hear of the death of Mrs. John Foley, which occurred last Sunday evening about 6 o'clock. She had been in her usual health all day but was not very strong since her recent illness a few months ago. She was going from one room to another and dropped dead in the doorway.

Mrs. Foley was a good woman and an excellent mother.

She leaves a husband and seven children to mourn her loss, the youngest child being about two years of age.

The funeral services were held Tuesday morning at the house conducted by Father Twohill of Kingsley. The remains were laid to rest in the Catholic cemetery at Anthon.

Rachael Johnson was born April 10, 1875, at Silver Creek Twp., Stephenson Co., Illinois. In 1877 she moved with her family to Sheldon, Iowa, where she resided until twelve years ago when she came to Correctionville. She married John Foley September 29, 1888.

She died May 12, 1907, at the age of 35 years, 1 month and 2 days.
