Mrs. Mary Spann, 89, who came here five weeks ago to make her home with a daughter, Mrs. Effie Wilde, 1121 11th street, died Sunday night at a hospital after a brief illness.
The body was taken Monday to Atkinson, Neb., her former home, from the Nelson-Berger funeral home for services.
Mrs. Spann was born February 24, 1860, at Germantown, Wis. She had been a resident of Atkinson for 45 years before coming here and was member of the German Lutheran church there.
Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Bertha Snepp of Lebanon, Ind, Mr. Laura Gray of Trout Creek, Mont., Miss Ferne of Atkinson and Mrs. Wilde; three sons, William Elmer and Albert, all of Atkinson; a brother, John Bergaman of Lincoln; a sister, Mrs. Annie Iverson of Hay Center, Neb.; 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
