ANTHON, Iowa -- Daniel J. Curtin, 88, of Anthon died Saturday, Jan. 30, 1993, at Colonial Manor Nursing Home in Correctionville.

Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Anthon with the Rev. Gerald Zensen officiating. Burial will be in Mount St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Anthon. Visitation will be after 1 p.m. today, with a vigil wake service at 7 p.m., at Walter-Armstrong Funeral Home in Anthon.

Mr. Curtin was born Jan. 28, 1905, in Anthon, the son of Jeffrey and Catherine (Coyne) Curtin. He attended country school and St. Joseph's Catholic Parochial School in Anthon. He married Mable Bennett Kissinger Dec. 6, 1939, in Anthon. She died Aug. 12, 1959. He owned and operated Tom and Dan's Restaurant in Anthon and also farmed in the Anthon area. On Jan. 22, 1962, he married Carolyn Yanacheak in Moville.

Mr. Curtin was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Margaret Finzen of Sterling, Colo.; a stepdaughter, Mary Yanacheak of Sioux City; two stepsons, Charles Yanacheak of Mason City and Tom Yanacheak of Ida Grove; a brother, Matt of Sioux City; three grandchildren, Chanel Finzen, Stanley Finzen and Nancy Finzen; and a great-granddaughter, Kayla Finzen.

He was preceded in death by four brothers: and three sisters.
