Travis J. Sweisberger passed away Friday, Sept. 16, 2022, after a long battle with cancer.

Celebration of Life will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. on Saturday at Holiday Inn Express and Suites Sioux City North Event Center, 885 Cottonwood Lane, Dakota Dunes.

Travis was born Aug. 29, 1974, to Stan and Zaida Sweisberger. He grew up in Sioux City and graduated from East High in 1993. After high school he attended WIT to pursue his culinary passion. Travis was an avid bowler and bowled a 300 game twice! He also enjoyed playing pool with his dad and brother. He was a lifelong Denver Broncos fan and always cheered for the Iowa Hawkeyes.

His favorite past time was fishing. He loved being on the water chasing the muskies. Taking his family out on his beloved boat was a favorite thing to do. Travis was very active in the fishing community and made many lifelong friends. Travis married Annette Devereaux on Sept. 15, 2012. They made their home in Spirit Lake, Iowa, where Travis worked for Polaris. Together they were blessed with two little girls, Marissa and Avery.

Travis is survived by his wife of ten years, Annette; daughters Marissa and Avery; parents Stan and Zaida Sweisberger; brother Mark (Penny) Sweisberger; nephews Justin, Braeden, and Keegan Sweisberger; daughters Chaylee, BreAuna and Olivia; and aunts, uncles, and cousins who he loved very much.

Travis was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Bill and Pat Sweisberger; maternal grandparents Jim Millard and Betty Millard; and great-grandmother Mary Osborn.
