Funeral services for James E. Conley, 81, 615 Jones St., will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday at the Cathedral of the Epiphany. The Rev. Msgr. William B. Bauer will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Anthon under direction of the Larkin Funeral Home. The Shull Post, Veterans of Foreign Wars, will conduct military rites at the cemetery.

The Rosary will be at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Conley died Sunday evening at a Sioux City hospital after a long illness.

Mr. Conley was born Feb. 16, 1889, at Tama, Iowa, and had resided in Sioux City 30 years. He married Helen Mahoney Aug. 6, 1920 in Sioux City. He belonged to the Cathedral of the Epiphany, was a 25-year member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and was a veteran of World War I.

Survivors include the widow; a son, Donald J. of Omaha: a daughter, Mrs. Mary Pauline Chamberlain, of Bangkok, Thailand; two grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Henry Fitzpatrick and Miss Mary Conley, both of Sioux City, and a brother, L. E. Conley of Sioux City.
