John Edward Collins, 54, a farm resident of the Correctionville community for about 25 years, died Saturday at a Sioux City hospital after an illness of several months.

Mr. Collins had resided with his brother-in-law, John Sevening, for more than 20 years. He was born June 21, 1901 at Oto.

Survivors are a sister, Mrs. Collette Benson of Hawthorne, Cal., and a brother, Patrick of Danbury.

Funeral services will be at 9 a. m. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic church at Anthon. Burial will be in Mount St. Joseph cemetery under direction of the Hudgel funeral home of Anthon.
