ANTHON, Iowa - Miss Mary E. Chausse, 77, Anthon, died Friday in a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in St. Joseph Catholic Church at Anthon. The Rev. J.G. Skahill will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

The Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Sunday in the Walter Funeral Home.

Miss Chausse was born Aug. 15, 1902, north of Anthon. She lived on a farm with her family until 1921 when they moved to Anthon. In 1938, after the death of her father, she made her home with her sister and her husband.

Miss Chausse had worked for Pitkin Drug Store for eight years. She and her sister operated the answering service for the Walter Funeral Home for several years.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and past president of the Altar Society of the church.

She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Lewis (Catherine) Foley of Anthon.
