Mrs. Joe Chausse, daughter of Mrs. Mary Goodman passed away Wednesday, May 26, after an illness of several months.

Ethel Goodman was born near Anthon, September 15, 1891, and passed away at her home in Anthon May 26, at the age of 51 years, 8 months and 10 days.

Her entire life was spent in the Anthon community, having graduated from the Anthon High School and taught for a number of years in that vicinity.

On March 3, 1919, she was married to Joe Chausse. They located on a farm west of Anthon where they lived until a few months ago when they moved, to Anthon. To this union one child was born.

Among those who mourn her demise are her husband, a daughter, Frances: mother, Mrs. Mary Goodman, Correctionville; four sisters Mrs. Ellen Bockwaldt, Ida Grove, la., Mrs. Florence Ferns, Anthon, Mrs. Bessie Halberg, Jefferson City, Mo., Miss Marie Goodman, Rock Island, III, three brothers, Oscar of Anthon, Frank of Correctionville, and Wayne of Newton, Iowa.

Her father, C. A. Goodman, and one sister, Edna, preceded her in death.

Funeral services were held Friday, May 28, from St. Joseph Catholic Church, with Father Conlon in charge. Interment was in St. Joseph cemetery.
