DIES IN CHICAGO

Body of Former Head of First National to Be Brought Here

John L. Mitchell, 69, former president of the First National bank here, died at his home at Chicago Sunday.

Mr. Mitchell was born January 26, 1876, at New Hampton, la. He had been manager of the Civic Opera building at Chicago since 1931, when he moved from Sioux City.

Survivors include the widow, Addie, and a daughter, Margaret, both of Chicago; three brothers, Harold of Ames, la., and Guy and Frank, both of Madison, S. D., and a sister of Lead, S. D.

The body will arrive here from Chicago this evening. Perasso Bros, funeral home will be in charge of arrangements. Burial will be in Logan Park cemetery.
