Lucille M. Knutson, 88, of Sioux City passed away peacefully on Friday, Oct. 7, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.

Services will be at 11 a.m. on Friday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Burial will be in Logan Park Cemetery. Visitation with the family present will be from 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Online condolences may be sent to www.meyerbroschapels.com.

Lucille was born May 23, 1934; she was the daughter of Clarence and Blanche (Kneebone) Whitmore. Lucille spent her entire life in Sioux City, she attended Hopkins Grade School West Junior Middle High and Central High School. Lucille worked for Johnson Biscuit/Interbake Foods for over 40 years.

Lucille married Quentin "Andy" Anderson, and to this union they had four children. On Nov. 7, 1981, she married Raymond Knutson, and they were happy together until his death in 2009. In her spare time, Lucille enjoyed dancing, Navy Chiefs Balls, NASCAR, the Chicago Cubs, Iowa Hawkeyes and fishing. Her great passion was being with her family and spoiling her grandchildren. When talking with Lucille she would often say "well, time will tell."

She is survived by her children Rick Anderson (Julie Hansen) of Sioux City, Robin Palmer (Ward) of Raymore, Mo., Rhonda Redfern (Jerry) of Soperton, Ga., and Penny Dodson (Steve) of Tampa, Fla.; grandchildren Randy Anderson (Jennifer), Jason Anderson (Virginia), Craig Anderson (Cara), Trynn Waldon (Chris Luther), Jessica Palmer (Ian Dinkins), Sydney Palmer, Chuck Palmer, Brett Palmer, Brent Redfern (Jodi), Bryan Redfern, Wendy Dodson, Samantha Dodson, Jon Dodson, Tammy Thorson, Tonya Thorson, and Bodie Thorson; 21 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Lucille was preceded in death by her loving husband Raymond; son Randy Anderson; daughter Karen Smith; granddaughter Nicole Anderson; great-grandchildren Abraham Hagerty and Keaton Chicoine; siblings June Schumann, Joann Benson, Charles Whitmore and Clarence Whitmore; and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Hospice of Siouxland for the kind care and compassion they showed to Lucille and her family during this difficult time.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Lucille's memory to the Ronald McDonald House of Siouxland or Hospice of Siouxland.
