Gayle M. Fredrickson, 76 of Sioux City, Iowa passed away Thursday, September 29, 2022, with his family at his side. Funeral Services will be held 10:30am Monday, October 10, 2022, at the Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City, 4125 Orleans Ave. Burial will be in Logan Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Gayle was born October 21, 1945, on a farm in Akron, Iowa the son of LaVerne and Clara (Wall) Fredrickson. He grew up and graduated from Akron-Westfield High School in 1966. Gayle married Barbara Lewis in 1972 and had 5 children together. They later divorced and went on their separate ways. He married Donna Woodward on June 4, 2000. They spent many years happily taking care of each other.

Gayle worked for many years in various packing houses until he retired in 1986.

He loved family get-togethers! Birthday parties, holidays, campouts, ANY excuse to be around family. Gayle enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening, traveling and making memories.

Gayle is survived by his wife, Donna, two sons, Michael Fredrickson, Shane Fredrickson (Kathy), stepson Jeff Mulhair, two daughters, Brenda Fredrickson-Murphy, Annagail Fetterman (Clarence), Step- daughter, Deanna Reintzel (John), half-sister, Karen Quigly, and 14 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, stepmother, Tyne Fredrickson, infant daughter, Patricia Fredrickson, a brother, Gene Fredrickson and lifelong friend Lee Brennfoerder.
