Ruth A. Price, 78 of Sioux City, Iowa passed away Thursday, September 29, 2022, at a local hospital, surrounded by her family. Memorial Services will be held 7:00pm Friday, October 7, 2022, at the Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux, 4125 Orleans Ave. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Ruth Ann Price was born on Saturday, January 8, 1944, in Hazlehurst, Georgia to Jeff and Bernice (Owen) Mohrhouser. Her family moved to Mapleton, Iowa and that is where Ruth was raised. She married Larry Price and to this union two sons, James and Michael were born. Larry and Ruth later divorced. She worked for the Sioux City Public School District in the Transportation Department for 30 years.

Ruth loved all things outdoor, boating, camping on the sandbar, and fishing. She even owned and rode her own motorcycle! She loved spending time with her sons and their families. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren always made her smile.

Ruth is survived by her sons, Jim (Sandra) Price and Mike Price; her grandchildren; Carlie, James Jr, Tylor, Kayla, and Allen; great grandchildren; Landon, Thomas, Ruby, Veda, Julez, James III, Alena, Helena, Axel, Zoe, and Brelle.

Ruth is preceded in death by her parents.
