Member of Engineering Firm Dies Here After Illness
Walter Z. Buell, 58, 3201 Jones Street, a member of the engineering firm of Buell & Winter, died Saturday afternoon in a hospital after an illness of several months. He entered the hospital last Tuesday.
The firm had been engineering architects here and in this vicinity for many years. One of its largest jobs here recently was at the Sioux City air base.
Mr. Buell was born September 14, 1885, at Williams, la. He lived in Sioux City 35 years. He was a member of the Masonic lodge, Elks club, Sioux City Country club and Rotary club. He was graduated from an engineering course at Iowa State college, Ames, where he was a member of Phi Gamma Delta fraternity.
Survivors include the widow, Eileen; a daughter Betty, Sioux City, a brother, James Buell, Woosung, Ill., and a sister, Mrs. George Peed, Webster City, la.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p. m. Monday at the First Congregation church, Rev. George Pullman officiate. Burial will be at Webster City, Ia. Perasso Bros. funeral home has charge of arrangements.

Funeral services for Walter E. Buell, 58, 3201 Jones Street, who died Saturday, will be held at 2:30 p. m. today in the First Congregational Church, Rev. George Pullman will officiate.
Active pallbearers will be Harold Boswell, Watt Woolridge, George Lee, Ralph Brubacker, George Booth and Dr. G. Maris, Honorary pallbearers will be Hobert Brake, Dr. J. H. J. H. Humphrey, W. McFarlan, Leon Winter, M. H. Wood, Ira Benson and Robert Johnston.
Mr. Buell was a member of the engineering firm of Buell & Winter.
Burial will be at Webster City, la. Perasso Bros, funeral home has charge of arrangements.
