MRS. ANDREW W. HOY

Mrs. Jessie Gillette Hoy, wife of Andrew W. Hoy. former Sioux Cityan, recently died at the Hoy home in Palo Alto, Cal.

The Hoys lived in Sioux City in the early 1900s. Mr. Hoy was president of the Nampa Apple Orchard company, with headquarters here. The family moved from Sioux City to Nampa, Idaho. There he entered the banking business, was secretary of the chamber of commerce and continued to be interested in orchards. The Hoys moved from Nampa to Palo Alto.

Mrs. Hoy was a past worthy matron of Palo Alto chapter of the Order of Eastern Star and a member of the First Presbyterian church of Palo Alto.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Francis W. Russell, who had married the Hoys November 30, 1898, in Marshalltown, la. Cremation followed at Alta Mesa.

Besides Mr. Hoy, survivors include a sister, Mrs. Frederick Erb, National City, Cal.; and two brothers. Arthur S. Gillette of Encinitas, Cal, and Russell M. Gillette of Hudson, Mich.
