August David Wickey, 77, 807 Fourth St., a resident here for the last 50 years, died Tuesday at a hospital after a brief illness. He was born March 14, 1888, in Iowa. His wife, the former Ella Zeitler, died here in 1932. Mr. Wickey attended services at the Salvation Army Mission. He had been a carpenter and contracted for his own jobs.

Survivors include two sons, Edwin of Sioux City and David of Duarte, Calif.; four daughters, Mrs. Helen McFarland, Mrs. Gustine Heinz and Mrs. Lucille Fredrickson, all of Oma ha, and Mrs. Blanche Scott of Sioux City; two sisters, Mrs. Effie Burton of Battle Creek, Iowa, and Mrs. Lillian Johnson of Smithland; a brother Melvin of Sioux City; 20, grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

The body was taken to the W. Harry Christy Funeral Home in Morningside.
