Charles W. Sage, 50, 1002 S. Alice Street, died Sunday, July 26, 1959, at a hospital after a brief illness.

Mr. Sage was born June 4, 1909, at Sheldon, Iowa. He came to Sioux City in 1932. He married Pearl Sanford September 26, 1934, at Elk Point, South Dakota. The couple resided here until 1943 when they moved to Long Prairie, Minnesota. They returned to Sioux City in November 1958. The couple managed the Topper Café in Morningside from March until its close. They then took over management of the Topper Café at 27th and Pierce streets.

Mr. Sage was preceded in death by a son, Frederick, in 1953, at Lone Prairie.

Survivors include the widow, Pearl; two daughters, Mrs. Harold Schwarz of Zion, Illinois, and Miss Benita Sage of Kansas City, Missouri; two sons, Marcus in California and James of Denver, Colorado; two sisters, Mrs. Ross Forward and Mrs. Joe Wesselink, both of Sheldon, Iowa, and two grandchildren.

Burial was in Good Hope Cemetery.
