Died Thursday, December 28, 1899, Homer Austin Deeds, the infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Deeds of Rock Township. He was sick only 12 hours with some form of brain trouble when the Angel of Death appeared and claimed their firstborn from the grief-stricken parents. The child was only ten weeks old. Interment was in the Bethel Cemetery Friday afternoon. Rev. Force conducted the service.
