Elsie Alice Anderson Coon was born in Harlan, Shelby County, Iowa, February 2, 1882, and died at her home in Correctionville, August 2, 1908, aged 26 years.

On June 4, 1900, she was married to Thomas Beryl Coon, who with two small children, Harold Lloyd, aged 2 ½ years and Wilma Beyrl, aged 13 months, mourn the loss of a faithful wife and mother. She also leaves the father, Milton Anderson of Correctionville, and mother, who is at present in Anaconda, Montana, also a brother, Adolphus Anderson of Cherokee and two sisters, Mrs. Lloyd Rogers and Mrs. Chas. Hamren, both of Correctionville.

The funeral was held at the Methodist church, conducted by Rev. Todd and interment was at Bethel Cemetery, August 3.

Mrs. Coon was a very bright woman of a most cheerful disposition. All who knew her loved her. She was very patient in suffering and the passing out of her young life is a heavy sorrow to her many friends.
