Carl Fessel, 71, a resident of Woodbury County for many years died Tuesday afternoon at his home two miles north of Bronson after a heart attack.

Mr. Fessel was born January 30, 1876, in Germany. He came to the United States at the age of 16, locating near Lawton, la. In 1899 he moved to his own farm hear Bronson and had lived there since. He was a member of the German Lutheran church.

Survivors include two half-brothers, Gus Fessel of Lawton and Herman Fessel of Germany.

The body was taken to the W. Harry Christy funeral home in Morningside.
