Funeral services for Mrs. Edith Bier, 79, Lawton, who died Friday at a LeMars, Iowa hospital, will be at 2 p. m. Monday at the Lawton Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Banner Township Cemetery, Lawton.

The Rev. Gary Thomson of the Lawton Presbyterian Church will officiate. The McCulloch Funeral Home in Moville has charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Bier was born Feb. 26, 1885, in Woodbury County. She was married to J. W. Bier in Sioux City on Feb. 7, 1907. They lived at Lawton since 1912.

She was an operator for the Lawton Telephone Co. for 33 years. She was a member of the Lawton American Legion Auxiliary, the Ladies Aid of the Presbyterian Church, and the Lawton Garden Club.

Survivors include the widower; a son, Eugene H. of Mason City, Iowa; a daughter, Mrs. Alice Meyer of Kingsley, Iowa; three sisters, Mrs. John Wynn of Ida Grove, Iowa; Mrs. Carl Brandt of Council Bluffs, Iowa, and Mrs. Ralph Lowe of Des Moines; two brothers, H. I. Plumer of Lawton, Henry Plum-er of Seal Beach, Calif.; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
