MOVILLE, Iowa -- Albert Rippke, 89, of Moville died Tuesday in a hospital in Ida Grove after a long Illness.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the Salem Lutheran Church at Rock Branch. The Rev. Martin Osterloh will officiate. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery at Pierson. There will be a prayer service at 7 p.m. Friday in the McCulloch Funeral Home at Moville.

Mr. Rippke was born July 1, 1893, near Watkins. He came to the Moville area with his parents at an early age and graduated from the Moville High School.

He married Amanda Bartholoma Feb. 10, 1915, at Rock Branch. They farmed in Woodbury County until 1953 when they retired to Moville. He worked for Carl Ferguson Food Market for about six years. Mrs. Rippke died Aug. 5, 1979, at Kingsley.

He was a longtime member of Salem Lutheran Church.

Survivors include two grandchildren, Eldon Meissner of Pierson and Mrs., James (Eleanor) Jaynes of Littleton, Colo, and seven great-grandchildren.
