12 April 2000MARCUS, Iowa - Margaret D. Fey, 82, of Marcus died Monday, April 10, 2000, at Heartland Care Center in Marcus.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Earnest and Roethler Funeral Chapel in Marcus, with the Rev. Shelby Bailey of Faith Lutheran Church of Marcus officiating. Graveside services will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday in Rock Branch Fairview Cemetery, rural Correctionville, Iowa. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.
Mrs. Fey was born March 5, 1918, in Spencer, Iowa, the daughter of Martin and Petra (Anderson) Mengelsen.
She married Arnold F. Fey on March 7, 1952, in Spencer. He died Aug. 24, 1985.
She was employed for many years as a bookkeeper at her husband's welding and blacksmith shop in Marcus.
She enjoyed bowling, knitting and bicycling.
Survivors include two sons and their wives, Rocky and Shari of Le Mars, Iowa, and Rick and Linda of Palmer, Iowa; six grandchildren, Jessica, Jeremy, Joshua, Erica, Jill and Kelsey Fey; and three great-granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Clarence, Oscar and Ernest; and a granddaughter, Amanda.
