ANTHON, Iowa - Mrs. Mike (Tudy) Dix, 69, of Anthon, died Saturday morning at the residence of an apparent heart attack.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the United Methodist Church. The Rev. Edward Schaller and the Rev. Ted Seick will officiate. Burial will be in the Rock Branch Cemetery with the Walter Funeral Home of Anthon in charge.

Mrs. Dix, the former Evelyn Blanche "Tudy" Heath, was born March 15, 1908, in Anthon, and lived all her life in the same residence.

She was a postal clerk here the last 10.5 years. She was married May 9, 1936, at Smithland to Milo "Mike" Dix. He died Sept. 11, 1971.

Survivors Include a son, Jerry, of Anthon and one sister, Mrs. Edna Strawn of Correctionville,

Evelyn "Tudy" Dicks, the daughter of Charles and Jennie Chase Heath, was born at Anthon, Iowa, March 15, 1908, and lived her entire lifetime in the Anthon community. She graduated from Anthon High School in the class of 1926. On May 9, 1936, Tudy and Milo Dicks were married at Smithland, Iowa. They operated a grocery store in Anthon until 1960 when illness forced Mike to retire. He passed away in September 1971. For the past 10 and one-half years Tudy was employed as a clerk in the Anthon post office.

Mrs. Dicks passed away unexpectedly at her home on September 3, 1977. She had reached the age of sixty-nine years, five months and eighteen days.

Services were Tuesday, September 6, 1977, at 10:30 a.m. in the United Methodist church at Anthon with Rev. Edward Schaller and Rev. Ted Sieck officiating. Music was provided Mrs. Mary Jo Lyon, organist and Mr. Louis Benjamin, soloist. Casket-bearers were Ralph Wilson, Frank Diamond, Robert Nelson, Everett Gothier, Frank Schuh, and DeRue Gilman. Mrs. Francis Schuh, Mrs. Madge Peterson and Miss Mildred Thompson took care of the flowers.

Interment in Fairfield Cemetery at Rock Branch was under direction of Walter Funeral Service.

Trudy is survived by her son, Jerry, of Anton and by her sister, Mrs. Edna Strawn of Correctionville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one sister and one brother.

She was laid to rest in the Fairfield Cemetery at Rock Branch on the sixth day of September 1977.
