Early Resident of Woodbury County Dies at Age of 82

C. A. Crawford, 82 years old, a resident of Woodbury County since 1884, died Thursday at his home in Wolf Creek township near Anthon, la. His health had been poor for several years. Complications accompanying old age caused his death.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o’clock Saturday afternoon at Rock Branch church, east of Moville, Ia. Rev. M. L. Metcalf will officiate. Burial will be in Rock Branch cemetery.

Born in Holmes County, O., near Millersburg, January 31, 1847, Mr. Crawford, who was a farmer, came to Cedar County, Ia. in 1869. He moved from Cedar County to Woodbury County in 1884.

Survivors include: The widow, Mrs. C. A. Crawford: three sons, W. A., O. A. and Clark E. Crawford, all of Anthon; three daughters, Mrs. H. N. Hall, Smithland, Ia.: Mrs. A. M. Williams, Moville, Ia., and Mrs. S. C. M. Sneve, Costa Mesa, Cal. and a sister who lives in Oklahoma.
