Blanche L. Kingsley, 89, formerly of Sioux City passed away following a short illness on Friday, April 9, 2021 at a hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel in Sioux City. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Due to Covid, there will not be a luncheon following the burial.

Blanche, the daughter of Clyde J. and Rena A. (Lieske) Birkes, was born Oct. 31, 1931, in La Harpe, Kan.

On March 18, 1951, Blanche was united in marriage to Robert M. Kingsley in Sioux City. Robert passed away on May 1, 2010.

Blanche is survived by her children Robyn (Emmett) Hodgins, and Kirk (Debra) Kingsley; grandchildren Erin (Derek) Wood, Blake (Candice) Hodgins, Ruben Taladay, Dakota Kingsley, and Cheyenne Kingsley; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert; son, David; and siblings Marianne, Clyde Jr., and Jim.
