20 August 1936

The mother who has lived to see her family reared and in homes of their own and whose devotion to their well being was always uppermost in her heart, found a fitting closing for her life.

Emma Matilda White was born in Marion County, Iowa, on September 8, 1870, and passed away on August 12, 1936, at St. Vincent's Hospital, Sioux City, at the age of 65 years, 11, months and 5 days. Her girlhood days were spent in the vicinity of Anita, were she grew to womanhood.

She became a member of the church in her early life and joined the Church of Christ in 1915 in which relation she continued to the best of her ability.

She was united in marriage to William Cochran on November 28, 1889, at Atlantic, Iowa. To this union were born three children, Nile Cochran of Moville and Mrs. Clifford Wenbourne and Milton Cochran.

Those left to mourn her passing are her children, fifteen grandchildren, two great grandchildren, one sister and one brother and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held in the Christian Church Friday afternoon at 1 p.m. in charge of the minister, Rev. Milton Dills. Interment was made in the Correctionville Cemetery under direction of the Wilson-Hull Service.
