CORRECTIONVILLE, Iowa -- Mrs. Lloyd Byers, 43, Correctionville, died Feb. 23 at her farm home after a long illness. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Feb. 26 at Salem Lutheran Church, rural Correctionville. The Rev. Arnold Sommer will officiate. Burial will be in Fairfield Cemetery at Rock Branch under direction of the Barker Funeral Home of Correctionville. A prayer service will be at 8 p.m. Feb. 25 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Byers, the former Opal Foster, was born Jan. 10, 1931, at Correctionville. She was married Sept. 15, 1948, at Salem Lutheran Church.

Survivors include the widower; six sons, Keith of Curtis, Neb., Larry of Correctionville, and David, Lewis, Jason and Jaret, all at home; a daughter, Nancy at home; three grandchildren; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Orville Foster of Pierson; two brothers, Norman of Alta and Kenneth of Sioux City; and two sisters, Mrs. Lucille Perkins of Correctionville and Mrs. Joyce Goosman of Sioux City.
