CORRECTIONVILLE, Iowa - Mrs. Henry Byers, 78, of Correctionville, died Sept. 23 at her home of long illness.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Sept. 27 in Salem Lutheran Church at Rock Branch. The Rev. Gary Olson, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church at Moville, will officiate. Burial will be in Fairfield Cemetery at Rock Branch under direction of the Barker Funeral Home of Correctionville.

Mrs. Byers, the former Charlotte Hinkhouse, was born Nov. 15, 1897, in Erpen, Germany. She immigrated to the United States with her parents in 1910.

She was married March 29, 1917, at Rock Branch. The couple farmed. They moved to Correctionville in 1969.

Survivors include the widower; two sons, Ralph of Moville and Lloyd of Correctionville; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
