PIERSON, Iowa - Willie F. Bohle, 72, of Pierson died Monday in a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the Rock Branch United Methodist Church. The Rev. Edward Schaller and the Rev. Gordon Watson will officiate. Burial will be in the Fairfield Cemetery at Rock Branch. There will be a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the Walter Funeral Home at Anthon.

Mr. Bohle was born May 18, 1909, in Woodbury County, near Rock Branch and was a lifelong area resident.

He married Lucille Luckel April 14, 1937, at Rock Branch. They farmed until five years ago, retiring and moving to Pierson.

He was an active member of the Rock Branch United Methodist Church where he held various offices. He served as chairman of the Rutlan Township Trustees, was a past school director of Rutlan Township, served on the Fairfield Cemetery Board and was a director of the Farmers Co-op Elevator at Pierson. He was a member of Kingsley Swingers Square Dance Club.

Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Ronald (Donna) Harris of Sioux City; three sons, Dean of Kingsley, Robert of Harrisonville; Mo. and Ronald of Pierson; three sisters, Mrs. Kenneth (Irma) Susie of Correctionville, Mrs. Fred (Irene) Held of Meriden and Mrs. Art (Ruby) Gernhardt of Kingsley and 11 grandchildren.
