Kenneth (Ken) Junior Rubendall, 79, peacefully passed away on July 25, 2021, surrounded by family at his residence in Peoria, Arizona.

Ken, one of seven children, of Clayton and Dorothy Rubendall was born on November 2, 1941, in Sac City. On January 1, 1964, Ken was married to Laurel Krueger in the United Methodist church in Danbury.

They had, two daughters, Lisa Burns and Lori Scott and one son, Leslie. He is also survived by a son-in-law, Rick Scott, three grandsons, Michael Scott, Stephen Scott, Mathew Tantum, and one granddaughter, Alyssa Burns. Also left to cherish his memory are two surviving sisters, Donna Krayenhagen and Dorothy Uhl, brother-in law and sister-in-law, Fred and Cheryl Krueger and sister-in-law, Lois Krueger.

Throughout his early married life he worked as a farm-hand and carpenter. Later, to follow his passion for repairing and maintaining anything and everything, Ken got a job as a building maintenance technician at Morningside College in Sioux City, then became the building maintenance supervisor at Immaculate Conception in Sioux City, and finally retired from building maintenance work while working at Cabela's in Peoria, Arizona.

In his free time, he enjoyed hunting, gardening, and fishing. Ken was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather and will greatly be missed.
Ken will be cremated in Peoria, Arizona and, at a later date, a memorial service will be held in Danbury
