13 September 1946John Davis, 76, Hornick, la, died Thursday at the home of his sister, Mrs. TV G. Moulin, 2411 S. Clinton, after a long illness. He was a retired farmer and had resided in Sioux City since November, 1945.
He was born June 1, 1870 at Spirit Lake, la. When 6 years of age he came to Woodbury county, residing near Holly Springs before moving to Pukwana, S. D. From 1926 to 1933 he resided at Diego, Cal after which he returned to Holly Springs.
He married Maude Bell of Oto on September 19, 1896 in Sioux City. Mrs. Davis died in 1932.
Survivors are two sisters, Mrs. Moulin of Sioux City, and Mrs. John Prichard of Hornick, la.; 13 nephews and nieces. District Judge Ralph Prichard of Sioux City is a nephew.
The body was taken to the W. Harry Christy funeral home in Morningside.
