Mabel Weber 1897 - 1991

Mabel Weber, 93, 4236 Hickory Lane, died Saturday, Feb. 9, 1991, at Colonial Manor in Correctionville, Iowa, after a long illness.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Morningside Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Arthur K. Beumler officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at Christy Morningside Funeral Home.

Mrs. Weber, the former Mabel Persinger, was born Dec. 26, 1897, in Hornick, Iowa. She married Wilmer G. Weber Feb. 12, 1919, in Hornick. The couple lived and farmed in the Hornick and Holly Springs area many years before moving to Sioux City in 1949. He died Dec. 10, 1986, in Sioux City. She moved to the nursing home in Correctionville in June 1985.

Mrs. Weber was a member of Morningside Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include three sons and their wives, Clifton and Wanda of Cushing, Iowa, Victor and Clara of Quimby, Iowa, and Melvin and Helen of Rapid City, S.D.; a twin sister, Myrtle Towne, of Sergeant Bluff; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was also preceded in death by a sister, Hazel, and three brothers, Clarence, Everett and Arlo.
