Howard P. Lewis, 67, 2354 Nash St., died Monday in a Sioux City hospital after a long illness.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the Munderloh Funeral Home of Emerson, Nebraska. The Rev. Tom Greves will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon until 9 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.

Mr. Lewis was born April 16, 1918 in Thurston, Nebr. He married Eleanor Weldon August 27, 1938 at Hartington, Nebr. She died August 25, 1985. He was a veteran of World War II. He worked as a section foreman on the Chicago and Northwestern Railroad.

Survivors include one son, Lyle of Oto, Iowa, one daughter, Mrs. Ole (Mona) Olson of Sioux City: two brothers, Kenneth of Groversville, N Y and Art of Brighton, Mich., one sister, Marilla Bessie of Omaha, seven grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren
